Day 9. Tuesday, January 16. I am being sanctified

2 Thessalonians 2:13
— 13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,
When I start thinking about the word transformation, I can imagine a caterpillar being transformed into a beautiful butterfly. How beautiful it is to see what God does in nature! But even more beautiful is to see that transformation in every person that Jesus touches.
God sent his only begotten son to give us the opportunity to repent, thus becoming saved by faith in Him. Jesus arrived so that our history could be transformed! If we have a life full of sin, now thanks to Him we can be clean. He has adopted us, he calls us children! He has chosen us, he calls us saints! Part of our transformation is sanctification. In writing, sanctification has a primary and a secondary meaning. The first is to be dedicated, consecrated and separated for a specific use.
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” this does not mean that Jeremiah was perfect but that he was set apart in Jehovah's service. The Greek word for church is "Ekklesia" which means "those called apart." Each member of the church is specifically set apart to bring glory to God. He is like a connoisseur of fine bronze who searches among a garbage dump outside the city and suddenly sees an old and discarded bronze vessel. It is dirty, stained and beaten, but its expert eye recognizes the value. He makes his way through the garbage and lifts the vessel and set it aside. In doing so, I sanctify that vessel. This is sanctification in its initial application. Of course you must spend many hours cleaning, smoothing the dents and polishing the old vessel, until it becomes something beautiful that gives grace to the table in your room. This is the sanctification process in its second application. Brothers, God has called us saints! By being chosen, and also day by day being polished by him. Our character, our devotion, our love.
God is transforming every part of our life, a gradual growth, He did not, but in grace!
2 Thessalonians 2:13 — 13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,
Action of the Day: -Take this day to thank God how many areas of your widow have been transformed.
-Also take part of your day to reflect on what areas of your life you need the most holiness and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to do so. Ps.Tony Sánchez

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, fast with conscience. And ask your doctor if you can fast.
